Hardmode: Heartbreaker down! - Submitted by Spifli on 10 July, 2009 - 00:34.

With the flame leviathans wreak behind us, and our wounded tended to our party moved onwards leaving the safety of our war machines. Before us the sprawling towers of Ulduar lay ahead and as we quickly discovered one more titanic struggle...

Amongst the littered ruins of countless mechanical corpses sat a colossal figure, a robot of such massive proportions that it must be capable of reducing lesser beings to dust, how on earth could we stand against this foe?

With a burning resolve our party surged forward, our most powerful and sturdy members in front with the small glimmer of hope that they could take the punishment about to be inflicted on them. The robot turned to face us lifting its massive form in preparation to obliterate us... but it did not. The creation merely looked at us casting its metallic eyes over each member as if looking for something, finally its gaze settled on our proud paladin Teejay and with a voice befitting only a child it surged forward.

"New toys for me? i promise i wont break them this time!"

With immeasurable strength the construct lunged, but missed the heart of us, and a wave of understanding hit us. This robot did not just sound like a child, it was one. This was our key to victory, our group redoubled their efforts to damage the construct, and our reward was granted to us, it exposed its overheating heart! focusing our assault we unleashed a hail of furious attacks and shattered the clockwork heart sending the construct into a terrible rage, sending living energy sparks to burn us into ash and pure negative energy zone that would send us to the beyond it hoped to overcome us but its time was over.

Rallying a final attack we sent the titanic construct back to the scrapheap to spend eternity with the machine it had pulled apart to amuse its own childlike nature. We would later learn that it was created by Mimiron himself. He would not be pleased by at our actions.

The way into Ulduar is now open. With 2/13 Glory Of the Ulduar

  Yogg-Saron 25man Down! - Submitted by Spifli on 17 June, 2009 - 22:08.

The broken body of the deformed General Vezax fell under the mighty Protectorate onslaught, and for our efforts the reward, the way to Yogg-Saron was open. With blade and spell ready our party began the decent into madness. we ventured on but what we found was no Old God, what is this? it was a woman, alone, Sara...

From the darkness a sickly green mist coalesced out nothingness, floating, moving with a will towards our party, our ranks faltered and panic took over. The mist was around us and as its loose form touched our skin the horrors appeared. Had we been alone the task at hand would have been impossible, but alone we where not for around us the Ancient Guardian of Ulduar appeared, Freya, the Mighty Hodir, Lord Thorim and the tinker Mimiron. The fight was on.

Wave after wave of the beasts fell under our might and still they came, unrelenting, until Sara fell to the floor, the beasts faded from sight, none remained.

"I am the lucid dream, The Monster in your nightmares, The fiend of a thousand faces"

"Cower before my true form, BOW DOWN BEFORE THE GOD OF DEATH"

He was revealed, the god of death Yogg-saron a visage of pure nightmare was before us but we did not falter.

From out of the very ground grasping, crushing tentacles grew to monstrous size and forced our party to scatter, the beast was seeking to divide us! Our courage prevailed as we cut a path of black blooded tendrils to the floor to rescue our comrades. It was only then that spoke.

"MADNESS WILL CONSUME YOU"

Darkness fell, no not darkness, a shadow? a mist? no this was different. We found ourselves confronted by new minions, but how was this possible. Dragons? the Lich King? the Stormwind council? The illusion shattered revealing a swirling mass of tendrils fading in and out of reality. This was the beasts heart, but hot his heart, his Brain!
With new found powee we fell upon the hideous organ rending and searing with metal and magic.

It was over, we have prevailed. The ancient god of death a ruin under the valiance of Protectorate.

But this is not the end... what evil now stirs in the undead stronghold of Icecrown? He is waiting...

  Yogg-Saron 10man Down! - Submitted by Spifli on 8 June, 2009 - 22:06.

We hadn't really focused on 10mans any more since our General Vezax 10man kill weeks ago, limiting our self to just farming the earlier bosses for achievements (hard-modes).

Thinking it was time to stop slacking we travelled deep into the madness and managed to kill Yogg-Saron in very limited time.

As a reminder we are still recruiting:
1 melee: feral druid or warrior
1 ranged: hunter (possible mage)
1 healer: resto druid or holy paladin
