The broken body of the deformed General Vezax fell under the mighty Protectorate onslaught, and for our efforts the reward, the way to Yogg-Saron was open. With blade and spell ready our party began the decent into madness. we ventured on but what we found was no Old God, what is this? it was a woman, alone, Sara...
From the darkness a sickly green mist coalesced out nothingness, floating, moving with a will towards our party, our ranks faltered and panic took over. The mist was around us and as its loose form touched our skin the horrors appeared. Had we been alone the task at hand would have been impossible, but alone we where not for around us the Ancient Guardian of Ulduar appeared, Freya, the Mighty Hodir, Lord Thorim and the tinker Mimiron. The fight was on.
Wave after wave of the beasts fell under our might and still they came, unrelenting, until Sara fell to the floor, the beasts faded from sight, none remained.
"I am the lucid dream, The Monster in your nightmares, The fiend of a thousand faces"
"Cower before my true form, BOW DOWN BEFORE THE GOD OF DEATH"
He was revealed, the god of death Yogg-saron a visage of pure nightmare was before us but we did not falter.
From out of the very ground grasping, crushing tentacles grew to monstrous size and forced our party to scatter, the beast was seeking to divide us! Our courage prevailed as we cut a path of black blooded tendrils to the floor to rescue our comrades. It was only then that spoke.
"MADNESS WILL CONSUME YOU"
Darkness fell, no not darkness, a shadow? a mist? no this was different. We found ourselves confronted by new minions, but how was this possible. Dragons? the Lich King? the Stormwind council? The illusion shattered revealing a swirling mass of tendrils fading in and out of reality. This was the beasts heart, but hot his heart, his Brain!
With new found powee we fell upon the hideous organ rending and searing with metal and magic.
It was over, we have prevailed. The ancient god of death a ruin under the valiance of Protectorate.
But this is not the end... what evil now stirs in the undead stronghold of Icecrown? He is waiting...
